Research
This page collects the write-ups of my research, each one with its data and the repository behind it.
The first group reports what I measured while I built software with agents, and the second presents the projects I completed at the Facultad de Ciencias of UNAM.
Agents and software engineering
Case study · Odoo Launchpad · Netlab
The defect record of Odoo Launchpad: of 225 defects, 119 were found by running the real system and 0 by a unit test going red. From it I derived a development model called Proof of Work.
Experiment · Odoo Launchpad case study
I ran six Claude Code setups seven times on one brief and measured them from transcripts and a headless browser. Every page that shipped worked, the six pages cost from $2.33 to $10.64, and only two test suites caught broken pointer input.
Academic projects
Course project · Heuristic Combinatorial Optimization · UNAM Facultad de Ciencias
A 2019 simulated annealing solver for the traveling salesman problem, re-run in October 2026. The 2019 revision of the code reproduced its 150-city result, 0.164943812, exactly, and the re-run measured what the paper had only shown in plots.
Course project · Heuristic Combinatorial Optimization · UNAM Facultad de Ciencias
I wrote this C++ ant colony solver for the minimum weight vertex cover problem in 2019 at UNAM. In 2026 it was re-run on the five instances in its repository, and every result was compared with the exact optimum.
Course project · Heuristic Combinatorial Optimization · UNAM Facultad de Ciencias
A 2019 bin packing solver, re-run in October 2026. It reached the lower bound of 11 bins on 20 items in every run, and it used more bins than online best-fit on 200 and 2000 items.
Implementation project · Computational Genomics seminar · UNAM Facultad de Ciencias
A 2023 implementation of a cellular automaton for protein domain evolution. A re-run reproduces its matrices exactly and shows that its update order determines the shape of every run.
